Simona Ștefan
Simona Ștefan Ph.D., is a lecturer at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Babeș-Bolyai University, member of the International Institute of Psychotherapy and Applied Mental Health, clinical psychologist and autonomous psychological counselor and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist. He obtained her Ph.D. in psychology under the supervision of Prof. Daniel David in 2012, at the Doctoral School of Psychodiagnostics and Scientifically Validated Psychological Interventions, Babeș-Bolyai University, and she was for one year a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Iuliu Hațieganu". In 2018 she received a Fulbright scholarship, and the research internship was carried out at Boston University, USA, under the supervision of Prof. Stefan Hofmann. Her research interests are related to anxiety disorders, investigating the effectiveness of psychological interventions and mechanisms of change, schema-focused therapy, clinical cognitive science, and the psychology of interpersonal and couple relationships.
Diana Nechita
Diana Nechita, Ph.D., is a lecturer in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at BabeÈ™-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. She is a clinical psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist accredited by the Romanian College of Psychologists and the Albert Ellis Institute, New York. Her research interests are related to scientifically validated psychological treatments and self-referential emotions and their relation to psychopathology (affective and anxiety disorders, eating disorders), with a focus on strategies to regulate these emotions.
Paula Stroian
Paula Stroian is a doctoral candidate at the "Psychodiagnosis and Scientifically Validated Psychological Interventions" doctoral school, at BabeÈ™-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, as well as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist under supervision in cognitive and behavioural therapies. Paula Stroian has also completed a training course in Cognitive Schema Therapy, endorsed by the International Schema Therapy Society. She currently practices cognitive schema-focused therapy with patients experiencing emotional and personality disorders.
Silviu Matu
Silviu Matu, Ph.D. is a senior assistant professor at the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, at BabeÈ™-Bolyai University, and a researcher on the PSYTECH-MATRIX Platform for Robotherapy and Virtual Reality Therapy, also at BabeÈ™-Bolyai University. His main research interests are related to emotion regulation and the integration of psychology and technology in order to promote mental health. Silviu has worked as a researcher in several projects on these topics, including the the “REThink” project and the “DREAM” project, financed by the European Commission in the 7th Framework Programme, grant agreement no. 611391, focusing on developing an intervention for children with autism spectrum disorder by using therapeutic social robots (https://dream2020.github.io/DREAM/).
Liviu-Andrei Fodor
Liviu-Andrei Fodor is a research assistant at the International Institute for the Advanced Studies of Psychotherapy and Applied Mental Health. He has a Ph.D. degree in psychology and graduated with a master’s degree in “Clinical psychology, psychological counseling and psychotherapy”, both at BabeÈ™-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. His main research interests include meta-research procedures and advanced research methods for evaluating the efficiency / effectiveness of technologically augmented psychological interventions (e.g., virtual reality, PC and mobile online/offline platforms) in the treatment of mental disorders.
